To truly benefit from all of the hard work that went into exhibiting, appropriate planning activities must take place before the tradeshow.
This should include sending out invitations to your current customer list, inviting them to come to your booth and see new equipment, new services, samples or simply to meet new sales staff. You also may be able to secure the previous year's attendee list from the tradeshow planners and mail them out an invitation to visit your booth. Entice them to your booth with offerings, drawings, and free-bees. There are many fun ideas that attract people to your booth, be creative! It is proven that if you create a WOW factor through a pre-mailing, your booth will create a buzz and be a big hit at the show. Georgia State University did a study and found a 78% increase in traffic if a postcard was sent out that included an invitation and offer to pick up something free at the booth, compared to no invitation at all.
